Source Groups
Source groups let you organize your monitored sources into logical collections. Use them to filter your dashboard, apply maintenance windows to multiple sources at once, and keep things tidy as you scale.
Creating a group
- 1Go to the Dashboard and click Source Groups in the sidebar.
- 2Click Create Group and enter a name (e.g., "Production Servers" or "Client A Backups").
- 3Choose a color to make the group easy to identify on the dashboard.
Assigning sources to a group
You can assign sources to a group in two ways:
- •When creating a source: Select a group from the dropdown in the Add Source wizard.
- •From the source detail page: Edit the source and choose a group from the settings.
A source can belong to one group at a time. Sources without a group appear under "Ungrouped" on the dashboard.
Filtering by group
On the dashboard, use the group filter dropdown to show only sources belonging to a specific group. This is especially useful when managing dozens of sources across different clients or environments.
Managing groups
From the Source Groups page, you can rename, change the color, or delete a group. Deleting a group does not delete the sources in it — they simply become ungrouped.
Common grouping strategies
- • By environment: Production, Staging, Dev
- • By client (MSPs): Client A, Client B, Client C
- • By type: Backups, Scheduled Tasks, Monitoring
- • By location: US-East, EU-West, On-Prem
